Raise Your Glass To The First Choko Beer Festival
This autumn will see the launch of the Choko Beer Festival, a community event celebrating real ale and family fun! Being held in the Laurence Hall (and garden), Church Road, Cholsey OX10 9PP, the event will provide an enjoyable social occasion with the aim of raising funds for two important causes:
- Style Acre is a registered charity providing supported living services and day opportunity services to adults with learning disabilities in South Oxfordshire. Funds raised at the Beer Festival will be used to support the residential unit in Cholsey.
Choko links communities in South Oxfordshire with communities in South Africa and raises funds for development work in the disadvantaged community of Kodumela. The current fundraising goal is to support the development of a centre for children and young adults with special needs.
The Beer Festival will feature 11 real ales plus real lagers, ciders, perry and good wines. A variety of soft drinks and foods will be available and local bands and other entertainment will keep people amused during the day.
