This autumn will see the third Choko Beer Festival, a community event celebrating real ale and family fun! Being held in the Laurence Hall (and garden), Church Road, Cholsey OX10 9PP, the event will provide an enjoyable social occasion with the aim of raising funds for important causes:

  • Local groups, projects and initiatives all centered around children will benefit from this year's event. These may include Scouts, Guides, pre-schools etc.
  • Choko links communities in South Oxfordshire with communities in South Africa and raises funds for development work in the disadvantaged community of Kodumela. The current fundraising goal is to support a water harvesting and gardening project which will target 840 households including approximately 235 orphans and vulnerable children.

The Beer Festival will feature 15 real ales plus real lagers, ciders, perry, Pimms and good wines. A variety of soft drinks and foods will be available and local bands and other entertainment will keep people amused during the day.
